I always look forward to Elmedin’s submission packet as the editor of Sonic Boom. His work pushes the boundaries of minimalist poetry and haikai forms, and ‘as is’ is no exception. His attention to detail, the way he deftly plays with language, and his endeavour to make haiku relevant and compelling is truly commendable.
