Elmedin Kadric is a minimalist haiku poet writing out of Helsingborg, Sweden. His first full-length collection, buying time (2017), was awarded second place at the Haiku Society of America Merit Book Awards for excellence in haiku poetry.
Turning up bits of grammar, parts of speech, sharp-edged stones marking lost boundaries and structures, the ruins of an ancient city, Elmedin Kadric, ever the careful archaeologist, brushes away any and all dust concealing the poem. I’m amazed at what he discovers in us.

Elmedin Kadric travels many of the distance markers of lives won and lost and won back, and above all us reminds us we are all buying time like a soldier at a roadside diner. . . . Under the warmth of the sun, sit back and enter the marvellous world of Elmedin Kadric.
